Microsoft’s Genuine Windows

Microsoft announced today that it will change the Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) software from crippleware to nagware.

Currently, if a user is working with a pirated copy of Windows, WGA will disable many features, essentially crippling the software. After the update rolls out in 2008, WGA will instead nag you with a black desktop and big white letters calling you a thief or something like that.
