so it seems that just the path is wrong.

This is either because the images are no loaded in the proper directory "/wp-content/plugins/bookmarkify/" or your site is restricting visitor access to that folder. If the the problem is the former you only need to upload the images to that directory. If the problem is the latter you need to allow users to access the folder (which is safe). In the case of some hosts, you may not be able to change the permissions. I am working on a change that will allow you to use alternate locations for the images.
