The latest version of Googmonify - version 0.5 - now includes support for Google Analytics. Simply enter your Google Analytics Tracking ID in the Googmonify options page and the appropriate script will be automatically included in each page of your blog.
You will need a Google Analytics account to take advantage of this new feature. If you don’t currently use these services from Google, you may want to consider them. Learn more about Google Analytics here.

The newest Googmonify update - version 0.3 - includes a new Options Page.
Use the new options page to globally set your Google AdSense Publisher ID. This eliminates the need to insert the Publisher ID in every googmonify tag set. Tag sets that you have already created with the Publisher ID will continue work so their is no need to go back and change them.
The options page also includes the ability to set a limit for the number of ads to appear. By default the value is the 3, the limit imposed by Google AdSense. If your blog theme includes Google AdSense ads in other parts of your layout you should adjust this limit accordingly. For example, if you also display an ad unit in the side bar you should reduce this limit to two.
I am leaving the version number at 0.3, however, I believe Googmonify is ready for prime time. Before I make the leap to version 1.0 - a significant designation in my mind - I would like to get some feedback on your experiences with this new version. If you have any problems with Googmonify I would like to hear about them.

Have a great weekend!!

Bookmarkify and Googmonify have been added to the WordPress Plugin Directory.
Bookmarkify is the widget that allows you to add social bookmarking links to your WordPress blog posts or any PHP page on your website. You can visit Bookmarkify in the WordPress Plugin Directory here.
Googmonify is the widget that allows you to insert Google AdSense ad units into your posts. You can visit Googmonify at WordPress here.
Both plugins, like Amazonify are open source - licensed under the GNU GPL - and completely free to use download, modify and redistribute. Enjoy!!
Post any questions you have about how to use Googmonify or Bookmarkify right here in the GARA Systems Blog.

I guess I’m on a roll. Googmonify is the latest addition to my collection of WordPress Plugins. In the spirit of Amazonify, Googmonify allows you to insert Google AdSense ad units into your posts with a simple set of tags.
Like it’s nearest sibling, Bookmarkify, Googmonify is still a pre-release product - version 0.1 - and I am still waiting for approval to be added to the WordPress Plugin Directory. However, it’s working just fine. An example of 120 x 90 Link unit appears to the right of this paragraph.
You still need to create your ads using the Google AdSense ad manager, but inserting the ad code is greatly simplified with this new plugin.
Additional plans for the plugin include adding support for additional ad types. I welcome everyone’s suggestions. An RSS feed for Googmonify updates will follow shortly. Until then you can subscribe to the entire blog for updates. I am also sending this post out to all of you Amazonify of Bookmarkify subscribers to make you aware of the new plugin.
You can click here to visit the Googmonify Page here at GARA Systems.
Let me what you think. In the mean time, enjoy and happy blogging!!
